“Dr. Ziad Kalash pursued his medical studies in his hometown and successfully passed his final exam in 2003. Early on, he developed a fascination for the possibilities in plastic surgery, leading him to dedicate his doctoral thesis to hand surgery. Subsequently, Dr. Kalash decided to further his expertise through specialist training in Germany. His training began at the renowned clinic for plastic and hand surgery at the University Hospital of Freiburg, under the guidance of Prof. Dr. GB Stark. Dr. Kalash successfully completed his training as a specialist in plastic surgery and obtained additional qualifications in hand surgery. Over the course of 18 years at the Clinic for Plastic and Hand Surgery at the University Hospital of Freiburg, he actively supervised important clinical studies and immersed himself in learning, implementing, and developing modern surgical techniques. Throughout his career, Dr. Kalash has performed over 5,100 operations spanning the entire field of plastic and hand surgery. Dr. Ziad Kalash achieved the distinction of being the first surgeon in South Baden to be certified by the German Society for Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery (DGPRÄC) as a "breast surgeon specializing in microsurgical breast reconstruction.”
