“Dr. Elmar W. Gerharz graduated from high school in Kannenbäckerland. He has successfully conducted over 3,000 operations, including approximately 100 kidney transplants and various major tumour surgeries. He has published around 200 articles related to cancer and transplantation and has delivered more than 200 lectures. Dr. Gerharz is a scholarship holder of the German Research Foundation. He has received 13 national and international awards for his scientific work, including the Professor Geoffrey Chisholm Communication Prize from the Royal Society of Medicine. Dr. Gerharz also served on the European Commission for preparing treatment guidelines for pediatric urology and was a member of the German National Academic Foundation selection committee for nearly a decade. Most recently, he has been a mentor in the Max Weber Program of the Elite Network Bavaria.”
