“Perlacher Mugl is a 23.5-kilometre-long circular route that takes 5 hours and 10 minutes to complete. The Perlacher Forst is a beautiful local recreation area, covering 27 square kilometers in the green surroundings of Munich. The trail has the highest vantage point in Perlacher Forest, providing an expansive view of the Alps. This unincorporated forest area southeast of Munich covers 13.36 square kilometers. Perlacher Mugl is well-equipped with a hiking trail that takes you on a captivating journey through time amidst lush greenery. The panoramic views offer mental clarity and a tranquil atmosphere. Perlacher Mugl also features a splendid outlook showcasing the mountains and a cosy covered seating area.

2026 Update: Perlacher Mugl is an artificial hill located in the Perlach Forest in the south of Munich. At its highest point stands a pavilion with information boards, built by the former Munich Forestry Office. These boards provide visitors with insights into the regional forest and its history, from the Ice Age to the present day.”
