“ Perlacher Mugl is a 23.5-kilometre-long circular route that takes 5 hours and 10 minutes to complete. The Perlacher Forst is a beautiful local recreation area, covering 27 square kilometers in the green surroundings of Munich. The trail has the highest vantage point in Perlacher Forest, providing an expansive view of the Alps. This unincorporated forest area southeast of Munich covers 13.36 square kilometers. Perlacher Mugl is well-equipped with a hiking trail that takes you on a captivating journey through time amidst lush greenery. The panoramic views offer mental clarity and a tranquil atmosphere. Perlacher Mugl also features a splendid outlook showcasing the mountains and a cosy covered seating area.

2026 Update: Perlacher Mugl is an artificial hill located in the Perlach Forest in the south of Munich. At its highest point stands a pavilion with information boards, built by the former Munich Forestry Office. These boards provide visitors with insights into the regional forest and its history, from the Ice Age to the present day. ”

“ Südliche Fröttmaninger Heide is a nature reserve with hiking trails through heathland and a habitat for endangered butterflies, toads and orchids. This preserve is an area on the northern outskirts of Munich protected by the nature conservation ordinance of the government of Upper Bavaria and the EU's Fauna-Flora-Habitat Directive. The nature preserve covers an area of 347 hectares and was formerly a military training area. The trail adjoins residential areas in the Freimann district (Freimanner Heide and Nordhaide). Südliche Fröttmaninger Heide extends their boundaries to Fürst-Wrede barracks, the Helmholtz Zentrum München, and the Ingolstädter Landstraße.

2026 Update: The approximately 10,000-year-old heath is home to a remarkable diversity of flora and fauna a unique mix of Mediterranean, alpine, and Eastern European species and to protect this richness, visitors are asked to stay on designated trails and keep dogs on a leash. ”

PERLACHER MUGL REVIEWS

Ganz egal ob Perlacher Forst oder Perlacher Mugl, hier ist es so schön und so idyllisch mit tausenden von Bäumen umgeben, soweit das Auge reicht. Vom Joggen bis Spazierengehen, sogar vom Rollerbladen bis hin zu City Rollern, hier kann man alle Aktivitäten ausüben. Wenn ich mich nicht täusche hat das Ganze eine zirka Gesamtfläche von 13,50 km². Muss man als Münchener oder auch Tourist besucht beziehungsweise gesehen haben.

Schönes Fleckchen um die Natur zu genießen! Bei klarem Himmel sieht man die Berge und bei einem kleinem Spaziergang mit Glück auch mal eine Ringelnatter, Kreuzotter (sehr selten) oder Kernbeißer. Am besten Fernglas einpacken und staunen.

Bei einem Spaziergang im Perlacher Forst sollte man hier hochsteigen. Super Aussicht zu den Alpen. Bei umherstreifen im Wald, können Neulinge sehr schnell den Überblick verlieren. Ihr glaubt es nicht, probiert es ohne Navi aus.

SÜDLICHE FRÖTTMANINGER HEIDE REVIEWS

Riesige sehr weitläufige Naturfläche im Norden von München, neben der Allianzarena. Viele feste Wege zwischen zahlreichen Wald - und Flurflächen, kein Naherholungstourismus, daher trifft man nur gelegentlich andere Spaziergänger! Ideal zum entspannten Spazieren bzw. wandern, Erholung gleich neben der Großstadt.

Ein schönes Naturschutz Gebiet. Aber da werden jetzt die alten Bäume entfernt. Das ist nicht schön. Es hat Jahre gebraucht die wachsen zu sehen und jetzt werden sie gefällt. Und das ist aber kein Naturschutz. So vorsichtig die Natur Profis sind wieder unterwegs und halten alle an die ihren Hund nicht an der Leine aben.

Man fühlt sich wie im Norden: weitläufige Heidelandschaft mit kleinen Waldabschnitten... Ich bin schon oft da gewesen und man findet immer wieder neue Wege. Richtig toll für Hunde..
