Marienplatz marks the onset of the pedestrian zone and lies just a stone's throw away from both the Viktualienmarkt and the Frauenkirche. The tower of the New Town Hall offers a stunning panoramic view of the old town, making the bustling crowds below appear miniature, with the view accessible via an elevator. Surrounding this area are numerous shops and restaurants. At the centre of Marienplatz proudly is the Marian Column, a dedication to St. Mary, revered as "Bavaria's Patroness." This splendid adornment features columns soaring over eleven meters high, fashioned in the likeness of the figure of Mary.

Schloss Nymphenburg is a monument district in the Neuhausen-Nymphenburg district of the Bavarian capital. This site served as the summer residence for the Electors and Kings of Bavaria from the House of Wittelsbach. Schloss Nymphenburg was designed by architects Enrico Zuccalli and Joseph Effner in the Baroque and Rococo styles, and it was expanded over two centuries from a small country house into a monumental three-wing complex. In early 2021, Nymphenburg Palace was listed on the Red List of the Association of German Art Historians. Schloss Nymphenburg and Palace Park are registered as an ensemble in the Bavarian Monuments List. The architectural model for the palace was the Venaria Reale Castle near Turin, which features a north-south axis measuring 632 meters. The castle park spans approximately 180 hectares, and the complex is around 229 hectares.
