“Boberger Niederung is a well-known hiking trial in Hamburg. The trail consists of a blend of sand dunes, forests, and diverse landscapes and has trails ideal for hiking and cycling. The trail is situated in the Hamburg districts of Billwerder and Lohbrügge. Boberger Niederung is considered one of the Hanseatic city's most species-rich nature reserves. This approximately 350-hectare area gained protective status in 1991, encompassing natural landmarks like Boberger Düne and Achtermoor. Within Boberger Niederung lie geest, moor, and marsh terrains, a quarry pond, and the Boberger See, which offer bathing spots. It is the botanically richest area in the Free Hanseatic City of Hamburg.”
