“Boberger Niederung is a 350-hectare area protected in 1991, including the natural monuments of Boberger Düne and Achtermoor. The trail is located in the Hamburg districts of Billwerder and Lohbrügge. This 5.8-kilometre circular route is classified as easy and can usually be completed in approximately 1 hour and 11 minutes. Boberger Niederung features four distinct nature information trails: Dune Trail, Moorweg, Terrace Path, and Wiesenweg. The trail allows you to explore the nature reserve, discover its beauty and better understand nature in its context. Boberger Niederung is one of the Hanseatic city's most species-rich nature reserves. You can feel the soft sand of the dunes beneath your feet, swim in the lake, or ride a bike. There is much to discover in this diverse landscape, such as bull beetles and lizards inhabiting the dunes and the heath. The route is accessible all year round and worth a trip in every season. Dogs are allowed but must be leashed.”
