Speciality:
“ 2025 Update: UNESCO-Welterbe Zollverein covers approximately 100 hectares and is the largest tourist attraction in the region. This heritage site is a key point on the European Route of Industrial Culture and hosts various cultural institutions, including the Folkwang University of the Arts. UNESCO-Welterbe Zollverein held the exhibition "Sun, Moon, and Stars" in its spectacularly converted mixing plant, and large areas of the Zollverein coking plant have been made accessible to the public. UNESCO-Welterbe Zollverein colliery and coking plant is considered a complete work of art and represents the coal and steel era's economic, social, aesthetic, and industrial history. The venue features seating facilities throughout the grounds, and parking is permitted only in designated parking areas. There are guided tours of Zollverein for blind and visually impaired people, as well as tours with hearing amplifiers or in sign language.”
