“ UNESCO-Welterbe Zollverein covers approximately 100 hectares and is the largest tourist attraction in the region. This heritage site is a key point on the European Route of Industrial Culture and hosts various cultural institutions, including the Folkwang University of the Arts. UNESCO-Welterbe Zollverein held the exhibition "Sun, Moon, and Stars" in its spectacularly converted mixing plant, and large areas of the Zollverein coking plant have been made accessible to the public. UNESCO-Welterbe Zollverein colliery and coking plant is considered a complete work of art and represents the coal and steel era's economic, social, aesthetic, and industrial history. The venue features seating facilities throughout the grounds, and parking is permitted only in designated parking areas. There are guided tours of Zollverein for blind and visually impaired people, as well as tours with hearing amplifiers or in sign language. ”

Absolute Empfehlung. Riesiges Gelände, dass man entspannt und kostenlos auf eigene Faust erkunden kann. Wir haben die Führung "Kohle & Kumpel" mitgemacht, welche sich sehr gelohnt hat und die 11€ wert ist. Unser Guide hat toll und witzig erzählt und man bekam einen spannenden Blick in die Geschichte der Zeche und ihrer Menschen. Parkplätze genug vorhanden und auch sonst alles was man braucht (Café, Restaurant, Toiletten etc.

Auf jeden Fall empfehlenswert. Kostenlose Parkplätze sind vorhanden und man kann das ganze Gelände erkunden und das ist absolut riesig. Hier kommt euer Schrittzähler auf seine Kosten. Dies ist auch der perfekte Ort für Industriefotografie. Die Gebäude bieten so viele Motive, das macht richtig Spaß.

Ein riesiges Gelände mit genügend kostenlosen Parkplätzen. Die Parkanlagen sind sehr gepflegt und laden zum Spazierengehen ein. Eine sehr gute Möglichkeit für jeden der auch gerne Industrieanlagen besichtigt. Am Wochenende empfiehlt es sich, Tickets für Führungen Online im voraus zu buchen. Das ganze Gelände kann ohne Eintritt besichtigt werden.

MUSEUM FOLKWANG REVIEWS

Was für ein wundervolles Museum. Viele sagen ja, "ist das Kunst, kann das weg", aber ich denke die Schönheit liegt im Auge des Betrachters. Kunst kann das Heez berühren oder noch schöner die Seele erreichen. Hier ein paar Fotos der Daueraustellung und der neuen Ausstellung "Wir sind Zukunft". Alles in allem ein sehr schönes Museum und einen Tagestrip nach Essen wert....aber schaut selbst.

Wir waren mit Freunden aus Süddeutschland in diesem sehr schönen Museum. Sie waren höchst erstaunt, dass es mitten im Ruhrgebiet so etwas gibt. Wo kann man schon in Deutschland so tolle und bekannte Werke von namhaften Künstlern sehen. Und das alles ohne Eintrittsgeld.

Die Überraschung in Essen. Ein tolles Museum, sehr abwechslungsreich und eine großartige App, die hilft, die Ausstellung zu erkunden. Nächstes Mal bring ich Kopfhörer mit.

RUHR MUSEUM REVIEWS

Die gesamte Anlage Zillverein ist einfach Spitze. Man sollte viel Zeit mit bringen. Das Museum konnten wir in 4 Stunden nicht schaffen. Super interessant über die Epochen der Industrie und der Natur. 360 Grad Kino und Panorama Dach super. Ein großes Lob an das total freundliche Personal, egal wo und wann immer super nett und hilfsbereit, aber auch mit viel Wissen über die Anlage. Danke

Wirklich sehenswerter Ort, man kann sich auf Bildern die wirklichen Dimensionen der Schachtanlage über der Erde nicht gut vorstellen. Das unter der Erdoberfläche noch einmal viel größere Dimensionen sind, kann man sich auch kaum vorstellen.

Sehr interessantes zeitgeschichtliches Museum zum Bergbau in der Region. 2 Stunden sollte man schon alleine für das Museum einplanen. Die Tour Doppelschicht kann ich ebenfalls nur empfehlen, in der der Weg der Kohle aus der Erde und die Trennung durchleuchtet wird.
