Dellbrücker Heide
“Dellbrücker Heide is a nature reserve of approximately 39 hectares near the recreational area of Dieperath and Höhenfelder See. The area features forest paths, heathlands, and a lake. Dellbrücker Heide is home to many small animals and bird species. This preserve is one of North Rhine-Westphalia's most biologically diverse natural areas, home to a wide variety of plant and animal species. The reserve is home to rare species like the blue-winged wasteland scarcair, sand lizard, great bandage butterfly, and unique habitats like silver grass corridors. Bündnis Heideterrasse eV is an umbrella organisation dedicated to the preservation and conservation of the natural reserves in this area.”
